Sai Baba has also declared: "I am prepared" he said,
"even to give up Prashanthi Nilayam to meet the needs of my people."
(Sanathana Sarathi October 1998, page 265)
Comment: That's just more talk or else he would have gone ahead and done it. 'His' people are supposed to be everyone, including 400 million poverty-stricked Indians. India has had nearly 60 years free of famine, growing enough food for its 1.1 billion people. Yet nearly 40 percent of its vegetables rot in warehouses before reaching market. The country has a space program - yet 30 percent of the population lives on less than $1 a day; 78 percent on less than $2 (see here). So cut out the self-propagandising massive buildings for a start!
"For my sake (believe it or not) do not spend a naya paisa. Though 56 years have passed, I have not got even one shirt or gown stitched for Me. I am now wearing what is given by a student..." (Sathya Sai Speaks Volume XV. page 312.)
Comment: He was such a blatant liar, Sai Baba, everything he wore, every bite he ate, everywhere he lived, all luxury vehicles you drive in, and every hip joint or whatever he reveived was been given to him by others! Who provided the buildings, paid the rent or maintenance etc. for the luxury apartments reserved exclusively for him and used by no one else? Who in actual fact OWNED them (i.e. if not in formal legal terms)?
"Right from a tender age, I never received anything from
others. I only give and give and give, I never receive."
(Sanathana Sarathi October 1998, page 275)
Comment: But you had nothing and say you
have nothing, so how could you give? Talking, smiling and flattering
people is easy, and they paid him for it thousands of times over, believing the money would only benefit the poor, uneducated, ill, needy and suffering masses. But in fact he was he hoarding masses of gold, silver, currency and a perplexing range of material goods and even masses of dry foodstuffs given to him through the years in specially constructed caches in the Yajur Mandir!
