CRIMINAL POLITICIANS WHO SATHYA SAI BABA ENDORSED

Sathya Sai Baba has blessed numerous convicted or indicted criminals, including Mr. Bettino Crax, and Mr. Guilio Andreotti - both Italian Prime Ministers, Dictator Idi Amin of Uganda, who he personally visited in Kampala, he was strongly supportive of the his devotee, Indian Prime Minister P.V. Narasimha Rao, who "fled to his feet" after acquittal on corruption charges (most probably though Sathya Sai Baba's influence over his devotees such as Supreme Court judges and PM at the time, A.B. Vajpayee). Sai Baba has also visited and blessed a known criminal liquor kind, Mr. Reddy of Madras, among numerous other similar shady persons in India.

Bettino Craxi visited Sathya Sai Baba in Puttaparthi in late 1986 while he was Italy's Prime Minister. The visit of the Craxi family and the blessings the Italian Prime Minister received fro Sathya Sai Baba were reported in his official journal Sanathana Sarathi (p. 273 November 1986). Craxi arrived with his wife and a small entourage and heavily armed security guards in a helicopter, which landed in the ashram grounds. The ladies were wearing very short skirts, stiletto heels and heavy lipstick make-up, which caused alarm among the Sai officials and servitors who were involved (such dress is regarded in an extremely derogatory light among Sai Baba followers). All ashram visitors and residents were excluded from the area while the visit took place. Sathya Sai Baba expressed dislike of the weapons carried, saying it was unnecessary, and when they laid them down, he gave vibuti ('holy ash') to the security men, who were somewhat perplexed by it. In the interview Bettino Craxi asked Sai Baba about what the future held for him and was reportedly told that there were persons close to him one whom he could not rely. (What a wise - but entirely obvious- comment to an Italian politician in the thick of a corrupt system!). In 1993, B. Craxi was charged with murder of a journalist and major corruption and he resigned as Socialist party leader. Bettino Craxi died as a criminal in exile in Tunis, fleeing a conviction in Italy of about 18 years in prison plus multi-million dollar fines. Wikipedia's article on Craxi's massive corruption and crime states: "A huge crowd assembled in front of the building and when Craxi finally went out, he was met with thousands of coins tossed at him. The outraged people intoned: "Bettino! Do you want even these?!".This episode is remembered with agony, anger and scandal within the Italian political class, and with pride and long-lost joy by a majority of the common citizens."

Bettino Craxi's brother, Mr. Antonio Craxi, was the top leader of the Sathya Sai Organization in Europe (and Italy) for a number of years until he was replaced in the late 1980s by Pietro Marena of Divignano, near Milan. VKN expressed shock at the most hateful and vicious personal slanders he had ever heard (he told me)  by A. Craxi towards Pietro Marena and others (see scans of my notes recorded at the time) It was said to me by persons who knew the Craxi family well that Antonio had made a large donation to Sathya Sai Baba of money gained through the Mafia, which he wanted to offload to be forgiven his sins.

Mr. Antonio Craxi wore a ring supposed to be a 'green diamond' given by Sathya Sai Baba His wife has expressed her belief that Sai Baba rings with green stones are "power rings”. (This is very similar to 'Lord of the Rings' stuff taken literally). Many leading persons in India and the Organization were given what they were told by Sai Baba are green and white "diamond" rings, green and white in colour. Well, he gave me one (no doubt because I had promised what for me was a major donation) at Christmas 1986. I wore it for many years, but there was no power involved, though I suppose one could have used it to gain undue influence or 'power' over devotees who had no similar 'blessings' from this supposed God Incarnate with all powers in his hand, as he repeatedly claimed. Besides, the supposed 'diamonds'  are fakes - synthetic stones (see proof here). Ot did not enable Antonio Craxi to remain in his privileged position of status in the Sathya Sai Organization, nor to help his brother, Bettino Craxi, from later total disgrace and exile from Italy.

Further, it has been reported in Italy: "Notable among Baba's international inner circle are Guilio Andreotti, former Prime Minister of Italy, currently on trial for murder of a journalist, former Italian Prime Minister Bettino Craxi, sentenced to 5 1/2 years of imprisonment for corruption and Princess Poihlavi, sister of the former Shah of Iran, caught in Switzerland in 1962 for carrying heroin."

The case the Indian CBI investigated into former Prime Minister -.V. Narasimha Rao ended with his most unexpectedly being freed despite previous convictions - and he reportedly repaired immediately to Puttaparthi to thank Sathya Sai Baba personally, to whom he attributed his rescue from a long prison sentence. The case against him was very substantial (see here or and read the most doubtful reasons for his escape by the former solicitor-general of India here). NEW DELHI, India An Indian court on Friday reversed the bribery conviction of former Prime Minister Narasimha Rao, who was sentenced last year to three years in prison for buying lawmakers' votes to save his government in 1993.
Rao, who held office from 1991-96, had been the first Indian prime minister convicted in a criminal case. He remained free pending the appeal of his Sept. 29 conviction.
The Delhi High Court on Friday ruled that the chief witness in the case, a lawmaker who testified he was paid a bribe for his vote, was unreliable and overturned Rao's conviction.
Judge R.S. Sodhi also overturned the conviction of Buta Singh, Rao's home minister, who had received the same sentence, Press Trust of India news agency reported. The convictions of four opposition lawmakers for taking $365,000 in bribes were not overturned. Rao was convicted of criminal conspiracy, bribery and corruption in connection with a July 26, 1993 no-confidence motion against his Congress party launched by a communist lawmaker. His minority government had the support of only 251 of the 528 elected lawmakers less than it needed to survive the vote.
However, two days later, the motion was defeated by 14 votes and Rao remained in power. After Rao left office in 1996, the Central Bureau of Investigation India's equivalent of the FBI began investigating allegations Rao bought lawmakers' votes. The CBI did not immediately say whether it would appeal Friday's ruling to the Supreme Court.

Subject: Narasimha Rao-Bribery-Sai Baba
Here is a brief account of the criminal nexus between Sai Baba, Narasimha Rao former PM of India, other politicians, and bribery scams. In 1993 Narasimha Rao's Govt was facing a no-confidence-motion in Parliament, and was almost certain to be thrown out. Rao visited Sai Baba several times, and "miraculously" several Members of Parliament appeared out of nowhere to bail Rao's Govt out ( by Sai Baba's "grace"). A political party called JMM cross voted, and Rao was saved.
Sai Baba hailed Rao as a good man, and said all people should support him. Later the Central investigations and anti corruption board found out that several members of JMM party were in fact bribed 5 million rupees each by Rao, and after strong evidence was found, Rao was charged with criminal conspiracy and bribery, and later convicted and sentenced to 3 years imprisonment.
Shailendra Mahto, the man from JMM party who accepted all bribes from Rao, turned approver and State's witness, enabling Rao to be convicted. This enabled Sai Baba to "install" Vajpayee as the Prime minister with the support of Naidu , the Andhra CM. In return, now, Vajpayee has "facilitated" the discharge of Narasimha Rao a few days back..... and guess why..... the approver Shailendra Mahto conveniently made some "contradictions" in his statement !!!
And just 2 days after being discharged, Narasimha Rao rushes to Puttaparthi to "thank" Sai Baba for his "grace" !!!
Is anything else necessary to see how the criminal nexus between Sai Baba, and Prime ministers work ?

The release - many believe it was engineered by Sathya Sai Baba through his huge influence on members of the India judiciary (including Supreme Court judge Bhagwati and others). This could be in response to the service P. V. Narasimha Rao did for Sathya Sai Baba - and not least himself - by suppressing materials shown on National TV, Doordarshan.

DECCAN CHRONICLE of 23 November, 1992. In this a widely circulated, Hyderabad-based English daily a report on exposure of a Sai Baba miracle was published by courageous journalist Venu Kodimela. On the front page were pictures from a video recording of Satya Sai Baba's "creation" of a gold necklace, in the presence of the Prime Minister of India, Mr. P.V. Narasimha Rao. The video tape shows unambiguously Satya Sai Baba being passed clandestinely a necklace by his personal assistant Radhakrishna Menon, which later Satya Sai Baba "materializes" after a wave of his hand. Filmed by a state television crew covering the Prime Minister, the cassette was suppressed. However, a copy was leaked and several copies of the cassette were distributed in India and abroad. Some were shown on local and district cable television too -- at great bodily risk as some rationalists came to know. However, the publicity remarkably affected the number of devotees visiting Puttaparthi, though some still insist that "miracles" are performed to attract people to the good work being done by Baba and that Baba never claimed any special powers!
